Students are assessed each year in a variety of ways. They will receive written and verbal feedback from their subject teachers. In addition, they will sit subject assessments in class as well as formal assessments. Formal assessments can take the form of written coursework; written controlled assessments; speaking assessments; written examinations; practical examinations.

Parents will receive Key Assessment Data information at 3 points throughout the year. In addition, in Years 9, 12 and 13, parents will receive a full written report once each year which will include written comments from their child’s subject teachers; Form Tutor; Head of Year; and a member of the Senior Leadership Team. In Years 10 and 11, parents will benefit from an additional parents evening in place of the written report.
