UCAS

Students who wish to continue into Higher Education will be supported with excellent information, advice and guidance

We run a range of trips and host several events to ensure our students make an informed decision; we visit the UCAS HE Guidance Fair, a local university for extra direction on personal statements, and welcome a number of external visitors in relation to apprenticeships, employment and other avenues for Post 18.

We work closely with several universities including Birmingham, Gloucester, Warwick, Oxford and Loughborough. This enables our students to access programmes such as Birmingham University’s A2B or Warwick University’s Pathways Programme. We also take part in many masterclasses and summer schools which allow our students to fully prepare for university life.

Students who have shown the ability to apply for Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Science are met frequently to ensure that their studies are progressing well and that they still have the option to apply for the most competitive courses.

Students who are called to an interview have a mock interview at school with either the Head of Sixth Form or a visitor from a local university.
