03 Dec Going for Gold Homework Project
Year 11 students have been given the opportunity to push their marks higher through an additional Going for Gold homework project in Photography. It was optional for all students, but recommended in particular for our HPA students, and it was great to see so many of them choose to do the extra work, learn some new techniques and in turn demonstrate a higher level of skill to the examiner in their coursework. Light painting is a really clever technique where you draw with a torch or other light source whilst taking a photo on a long exposure, and students have really enjoyed experimenting and learning through trial and error.
We are going to open up the project to year 10s before Christmas to allow them to have a little longer on the project, and having spoken to my class, the majority are keen to do it, which says a lot about their work ethic in Photography. Keep it up!
If you want to find out more about the project and what should be included, all of the details are here: https://photographywithmisswilson.weebly.com/gcse-gold-project.html
