08 Mar Maths Challenge Success
Arrow Vale students from Year 9 to Year 11 took part in the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) Intermediate Maths Challenge on Thursday 1st February. The Challenge is aimed at high achieving Mathematicians with an eye for problem solving. Over 100 students entered with the aim of achieving a score worthy of a certificate – a very difficult challenge!
In total, 13 students achieved certificates! This is an outstanding achievement. Shaheer Safdar (Year 11) and Paige Vaughan (Year 11) achieved a Gold Certificate, a superb effort. In addition to this, Shaheer and Luke Richardson (Year 9) achieved scores which have led to them qualifying for the next round of the challenge for their year groups. Congratulations to them! We wish them good luck for their next challenge on Thursday 15th March.
