11 Dec Senior Vocal Group
On Wednesday 5th December the Senior Vocal Group performed at St Stephen’s Church in Redditch for the local Carol Service. The pupils performed two pieces to a sold out audience, which were “Look What I Found” (Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper), and “When Christmas Comes to Town” (Megan Moore and Matthew Hall). The pupils were professional at all times and were outstanding role models to the local middle and first schools. The choir sounded phenomenal with harmonies, energy, passion and a combined sound of a mature and ever developing group of voices. Special mentions go to Anna Garey (Year 10) for her solo, which she performed with a beautiful tone and breath-taking sensitivity and Jack Higgins (Year 13) who warmed up the choir, sat them in the church, spurred them on and gave them final words of encouragement. This vocal group would not be what it is today without the passion, musicianship and comradely of all involved. These pupils are heavily talented and will continue to do great thinks long into the future.
